It is my intent to help students of all ages to achieve their goals of learning and performing the vocal music of their choice, and hope to do so in the amount of time they study with me. Classes are offered in ear training, theory and music appreciation in addition to an Opera/Theater Workshop, now called OPERAteurs. I maintain an extensive library of sheet music, as well as scores and recordings which are regularly supplemented throughout the year. Students are encouraged to borrow materials from my library and return them at their next lesson.
My higher education in voice spans a decade, beginning at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ to the Boston Conservatory for my Master’s and ending with my study of Opera at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. I was the Executive Director at the Community Music School in Nashua, NH from 1990-2003 and honed my teaching skills as a faculty member at Rivier College from 1998-2007.
I am also proud to be a member of the following organizations:
- National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS)
- Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)
- The New York Singing Teacher’s Association (NYSTA)
- The Voice Foundation
- Buteyko Breathing Educators Association
In the New Hampshire/Massachusetts border area, there is a rich variety of children’s and adult musical theater groups as well as venues for karaoke, folk, jazz, rock and classical singers. There’s something for everyone! I welcome students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced!
